Guitar Practice Planner
Short, regular practice beats long, rare sessions. Enter how many minutes you can play on a normal day, how many days a week, your level and what you most want to improve. The planner splits each session into warm-up, a main focus, songs and a fun finish, and rotates the focus through the week so nothing gets left out.
How it works
- Each session = warm-up 10-15% + main focus 40% + songs 30% + fun finish (play anything) 15-20%
- Main focus rotates through chords, songs, technique, rhythm and ear; your main goal comes up twice as often
- Beginners get more chords and rhythm; intermediate players get more technique and ear work
Practise with a metronome slower than you think you need. Speed comes from playing it clean, many times.
Three things this tool can't see
- Your hands. Sore fingertips are normal at first; sharp pain is not. Rest if it hurts.
- Your songs. Pick songs you love. Motivation matters more than the perfect plan.
- Feedback. A teacher or recording yourself catches habits you cannot hear while playing.
